My Grade 4 Curriculum Looks Different, Why?
For the 2025–26 school year, we’re excited to pilot an enhanced version of the Champion Mindset Curriculum, designed specifically for Grade 4 classrooms. If you're noticing that your Grade 4 content looks different than other grades — you're right! This is intentional.
Why the Change?
We’ve developed this revised curriculum to:
- Offer grade-specific content that meets students where they are
- Increase engagement and flexibility
- Support deeper learning and connection with the themes
- This pilot version is a first step in evolving our programming to be even more impactful for students and easier to implement for educators.
✅ What’s Included in the Grade 4 Pilot?
Your Grade 4 curriculum includes:
6 Core Units:
- Goal Setting
- Emotions
- Community
- Perseverance
- Healthy Living
- Leadership
Grade-Specific Lesson Plans:
Each lesson is designed uniquely for Grade 4 learners.
1 Curriculum Mentor Across All Units:
Students follow the journey of Maddison Pearman, Olympic speed skater, throughout the year. This continuity helps students build a strong connection with their mentor.
1 Dynamic Video per Unit:
Each unit features a shorter, more engaging video led by Maddison. The new style is designed to be more relatable, digestible, and impactful for students.
Flexible Lesson Structure:
Lessons can be completed in one sitting or spread out over multiple days, depending on what works best for your classroom.
Optional Extension Activities:
Each unit includes extensions for deeper engagement and cross-curricular connections — perfect for educators looking to tie the themes into other subjects or dig deeper with their students.
🙋♀️ Why Just Grade 4?
We’re starting with Grade 4 to pilot these enhancements, gather feedback, and continue improving our resources for all grades in the future.
